Frequently asked questions
Will connecting my domain affect my existing email?
No. The records you add never replace the ones your mailbox uses, so email with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or any other provider keeps working exactly as before.
Can I use my Gmail or Outlook address?
No. Only the owner of a domain can allow email to be sent from it, so you need a domain of your own, like yourbusiness.co.uk. You can register one through VioTrade.
How much does it cost?
Sending quotes, invoices and reminders from your own address is free on every plan. Email Campaigns is an add-on at £20 a month, or £240 a year, and includes 2,000 campaign emails a month.
Am I allowed to email my customers?
UK rules let you email existing customers about similar work, as long as they can unsubscribe. People who only enquired need to have agreed. VioTrade applies these rules for you, so a campaign only goes to people you are allowed to email.
Do I need to write the emails myself?
No. Every template is ready to send, and you can have a first draft written for you from a single line describing what you want.
What happens when a customer unsubscribes?
They stop getting campaigns straight away. They still receive their quotes, invoices and reminders, because those are about work they asked for.
Can I schedule a campaign?
Yes. Send it straight away, or schedule it up to 90 days ahead.
