VioTrade

Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 2026 (updated to include Meta Pixel)

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. We also use localStorage, a browser-based storage mechanism, for certain purposes described below.

2. Cookies We Use

The VioTrade platform uses a minimal number of cookies and similar technologies:

NameTypePurpose
next-auth.session-tokenEssentialKeeps you logged in to your VioTrade account
cookie-consentEssentialRemembers your cookie accept/reject choice (localStorage)
_fbpAnalytics / AdvertisingMeta (Facebook) Pixel - measures ad effectiveness and page visits. Set only with your consent. Expires after 90 days.
_fbcAnalytics / AdvertisingMeta (Facebook) click identifier - tracks visits from Facebook/Instagram ads. Set only with your consent. Expires after 90 days.
vt_utmAnalyticsStores UTM campaign parameters (source, medium, campaign) from ad links so we can understand which marketing channel you came from. Expires after 30 days.

3. Essential Cookies

The session cookie is strictly necessary for the platform to function. It allows you to remain logged in as you navigate between pages. This cookie is automatically deleted when you log out or when your session expires. You cannot opt out of essential cookies as the platform would not work without them.

4. Analytics on Generated Websites

Websites you generate and publish through VioTrade include a lightweight analytics tracker. This tracker only fires if the visitor of your generated website has accepted cookies via the cookie consent banner. It collects the page visited and the referring website. No third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) are used.

5. Your Consent

When you first visit viotrade.co.uk, a banner appears asking you to accept or reject cookies. If you reject, no non-essential cookies will be set. Your choice is stored in your browser so you will not be asked again.

6. How to Withdraw Consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this website. After doing so, the cookie consent banner will appear again on your next visit, allowing you to make a new choice.

To clear local storage in most browsers:

  • Open your browser's Developer Tools (usually F12)
  • Go to the Application or Storage tab
  • Find Local Storage and clear the entry for this website

7. Third-Party Cookies

Stripe, our payment processor, may set cookies when you interact with the checkout or billing pages. These are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.

We use the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to understand how visitors use our website. The Meta Pixel sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies. These are only set if you accept cookies. Data collected is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Meta's advertising tracking at Facebook Ad Settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

9. Contact Us
